Okara tempeh and red bean tacos



Total time




  • 1 can of cooked red beans

  • 1 clove of minced garlic

  • 1 sliced green onion

  • 1 sliced red onion

  • 12 small corn tortillas

  • 2 chopped tomatoes

  • 1 chopped avocado

  • Sliced lettuce leaves

  • 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh coriander

  • 1 Sojami Okara Tempeh

  • 1 lime

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

  • 1 pinch of salt and pepper


  • In a frying pan, heat a tablespoon of olive oil, brown the onion, garlic and spices for 5 minutes, add the beans. Put aside
  • Also in a pan, heat the remaining oil and toast the Tempeh cut into sticks for few minutes
  • Heat the corn tortillas
  • Garnish with the bean mixture, tomatoes, avocado, onion, lettuce and coriander. Salt and pepper
    Serve with lime slices and tabasco sauce.
